The International PGA, Ltd. endorses certified members of the World Golf Teachers Federation (WGTF). The WGTF was founded in 1989 in order to develop a standardized system of teaching people to golf and to unify golf teaching professionals throughout the world. Their four-tiered certification program, combined with continuing education through their membership publication was designed to develop and provide the highest quality of golf teaching professionals for the industry. As a result, the International PGA, Ltd. recognizes certified WGTF members as the industry standard for golf teaching professionals. Club Professional, Club Management and Golf Resort Management Certification
The International PGA, Ltd also recognizes and lends its support to the United States Golf Managers Association. This educational organization trains and certifies Golf Club and Golf Resort managers. The USGMA offers a unique alternative to the traditional, multi-semester and multi-year programs. They provide in-depth three day seminars covering a wide range of topics as well as continuing education from their various membership publications and instructional DVD’s. All subjects pertaining to golf club management and golf resort management are conducted by currently employed specialist in each field within the industry.
