opportunity for PGA members from every golfing nation as well as World Golf Teachers Federation members to belong to a worldwide body of golfing professionals.
Although the International PGA, Ltd.
does not represent any one
particular national professional golf
organization, it promotes career
development, provides opportunity and
acts as one voice for individual golf
professionals. International PGA, Ltd.
members are recognized and respected
worldwide by both the public and people
within the industry.
Growth in the golf business these days
is about knowing the world and seeing
the whole picture. We now live in a
global society. The internet has brought
the world together in an efficient and
exciting way. The benefits and
advantages of thinking globally and
belonging to a global organization
far outweigh that of regional thinking.
This realization opens one up to a
myriad of great opportunities which the
International PGA, Ltd. has certainly
embraced.
Among these opportunities are the sharing of ideas with
our peers throughout the world,
recognition among other nations, the
ability to network globally, compete
against one another and develop
friendships and business relationships
with other members worldwide that can
last a lifetime.
A Message From The President
As we enter the New Year, the International PGA continues its growth, as more individuals recognize the value associated with a global organization of professional golfers. Looking back, it is hard to imagine that prior to our creation there was no organization that recognized PGA members on a worldwide basis. Each golfing nation had their own PGA affiliation but appeared to work separately from one another with no global cohesiveness among its parts. The benefits now however of belonging to "One World of Professional Golfers," has had far reaching effects; mostly in the area of communication and the sharing of information and ideas.
Our membership is composed of club professionals, golf club managers and teaching professionals. This unique combination of business authorities required for the competent running of any golf club operation is now helping to meet the requirements of golf club owners throughout the world. We now have the opportunity to learn from one another, not just regionally but on a global scale.
Much of the communications that we receive are from members of the World Golf Teachers Federation as well as the United States Golf Managers Association. We recognize these organizations as vital to the growth of the game. In fact the WGTF was the first golf teaching entity that created a global network of teaching professionals and the golf managers association was the first entity to specifically train and certify golf club managers.
On behalf of the staff at the International PGA headquarters in St. Lucia, we wish to extend an open invitation to visit our facility at any time. Furthermore we wish you much success in all of your golfing endeavors in 2012.
